We are Genesis Health and Wellness, a medical clinic specializing in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, located in Salida, CO.

We at Genesis Health and Wellness are committed to helping you feel like your best self, and getting you back to living the life you love. We believe in a holistic approach to health and wellness, and our goal is to establish optimal health and vitality at any age. Our traditional medical standards tend to leave gaps in men’s and women’s care when it comes to hormone balance. We feel that we all deserve to live our lives to the fullest, mentally and physically, and BHRT helps us do just that!

Meet Our Provider:

Our in-house provider, Dawn McDowell, is a licensed FNP-C with focus on a holistic approach to health and wellness. Her practice is concentrated on restoring patient’s vitality and optimal health using BHRT as well as traditional therapies. She discovered her passion for hormone wellness after having had a hysterectomy at the age of 38. After suffering the many side effects of hormonal imbalances she was introduced to BHRT which she feels gave her life back. At the time, she was an RN but quickly realized the vast need for the hormone therapies she received. She returned to Graduate School and obtained her Nurse Practitioners Degree in order to order help as many men and women regain their ultimate quality of life.

Originally from Texas, she attended The University of Texas at Arlington for her undergraduate degree in Nursing. She worked as a staff nurse at Longview Regional Hospital in the NICU department for 5 years. She returned to UT Arlington for her graduate degree in Nursing specializing in Family Health. While attending UT Arlington she trained in the Veterans Administration and a private Pediatrics practice. She is a provider of Primary Care as well as Integrated Medicine. In her spare time, Dawn enjoys mountain biking, trail running and snowboarding in beautiful Central Colorado.
